It’s easy to become overwhelmed with all the information and advice on having healthy skin. Before you make any decision on what advice or products to follow, there are 3 basic tips you can follow that can produce effective results everytime:

First, you should know your skin type. Is it sensitive, dry, oily or is it a combination? How does your skin react to changes in the weather or when eating certain foods?

Second, what are your eating habits like? Do you stay hydrated by drink plenty of water? It’s not always easy to maintain stress, but a high level of stress has been known to be a factor in unhealthy appearances. Try and keep your stress level to a minimum.

Third, exercising is a great way to help relieve stress, remove toxins and believe it or not, it can actually give you more energy. Not only can exercising help to achieving a well-balanced body it can also help to achieve healthy skin.

If you’re just starting out on trying to find a good routine to follow, start out by setting a short-term goal. Create a realistic routine you can follow consistently for 2 weeks at first. Take a good look at yourself on day 1, follow your routine (keeping your goal in mind) and then take another look at yourself on day 14. If you can see positive results, what you’ve done has worked. If you don’t see results, 2 weeks may not be long enough. It doesn’t mean it’s not working, you just may need a little more than others. Set a goal for 4 weeks and make sure you are comfortable and consistent with your routine.

Knowing your skin type, maintaining a well-balanced diet, and a good exercise routine will not only help to improve your skin’s appearance but you will have a healthy body, inside and out. Your body will love you for it.
